Instagram Adds Face Filters To Live Video

Instagram his added its Face Filters feature to Live Video. The feature was first added to the app back in May this year, and was only available on recorded videos and images. The feature allows users to add visual effects to images, recorded and live videos as well. According to Instagram, the feature will be rolled out to users around the world “over the next several weeks”. 

How To Use Instagram Face Filters For Live Video

To use face filters in live video, simply tap the face icon in the bottom right corner before or during your broadcast. You can tap on any filter to check out a new look and even try on the new sunglasses face filter which will be available exclusively in live video for the next week. 

It will also let you change the scenery reflected in your lenses by tapping on it. When your broadcast has ended you can share a replay to stories, or choose “Discard” and your live video will disappear from the app as usual.
