Big Brother Naija 2017 Winner Efe Ejeba Named 1K1M Ambassador

Big Brother Naija 2017 winner Efe Ejeba was this last week named as the fundraising Ambassador for the Hospital for Humanity fundraising campaign in a private event held Lagos. The campaign tagged 1K1M is designed to get about a total of one million Nigerians to donate one thousand naira each for its planned Paediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery Initiative (PCTSI) program in Nigeria. The project which was launched early this year will see a total of one million individuals giving at least one thousand Naira each or its equivalent towards carrying out open heart surgeries for children with congenital heart defects in the country.

According to Hospital for Humanity this has become necessary as the organization has a growing list of over a thousand children who are currently suffering from surgically amenable congenital heart defects. It’s said in its website that if these cases are left untreated, it will not only hampers the quality of these children’s lives but also can lead to preventable deaths of these children. According to the report stated, of the one thousand children, about 200 needs urgent surgery. Those in attendant during the signing ceremony include Dr. Segun Ajayi founder and CEO of Hospitals for Humanity, Big Brother Naija Winner Efe Ejeba and other members of the team.

The organization noted that it has in the past perform one Cardiac Catherization in Nigeria and also help treat about forty nine children of various heart related diseases. Hospital for Humanity also stated that it has a team of qualified and experience medical professional who are willing to take up full time job in Nigeria in a bid to save the life’s of children suffering from the ailment.

Efe Ejeba boost into limelight in April 2017 after winner the popular reality TV show Big Brother Naija where he won 25 million naira and an SUV. The show which lasted 78 days was contested by 14 house mate from various part of Nigeria. Efe who is a graduate of economics from the University of Jos, Plateau State, won the show after he putted 57.61 percent the total number of vote. The show was full of drama, suspends and in all very entertaining.

Efe win the heart of many with his popular slogan based on logistics which became a trending word of social media during and after his time in the house. Also the 24 year old rapper was famous for staying truth and real throughout his time in the house and during the show. He was named winner after beating fellow house mates Bisola, who came out as the 1st runner up with 18.54 per cent of the vote, Tboss who scored 13.60 per cent to emerge the 2nd runner up; Debie-Rise who putted 8.78 per cent of total vote cast to emerge 3rd runner up and Marvis who came last in the competition after scored 1.47 per cent of the total vote.

Before now, Efe has also been name other youth ambassador from other organization one of which is, the Nigeria’s Youth Ambassador, this was given to him by the  Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung how made it know through a Facebook post. He was also honour with a traditional chief title by the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, Major Gen. Felix Mujakperuo.
